The Farmers’ Market invites everyone to two events on Thursday, March 22nd:
The annual general meeting (members have the right to vote, visitors can become members on the spot), as well as a brainstorming session open to everyone with the goal of discovering great new ideas for the themes and the weekly activities of the upcoming the summer markets (starting May 23)!
The brainstorming session in particular is a reflection of the participatory approach of the Farmer’s Market. “The Market is first and foremost a meeting place for local producers and local people,” says Ian Ward. “It’s makes sense that farmers, artisans, and citizens of all kinds should have the opportunity to participate in the programming.”
In order to encourage participation at both events, the market is offering a free light buffet of savoury local fare, following the brainstorming session.
