Local producers will once again set up their tents and pile their tables high with delicious and nutritious products, every Wednesday this summer.
During the pandemic, it’s become very clear just how important it is to reinforce our community ties – and eating fresh, local food is is an added bonus! Supporting local farmers is essential for our food security, particularly so in rural areas where almost every dollar spent goes back into the community.
Every Wednesday from May 19th to October 20th, Dalhousie st. in Huntingdon’s Prince-Parc will be lined with brightly-coloured kiosks full of local food and artisanal goods, from 3pm to 6pm. Social distancing and sanitary measures will be in place for everyone’s safety.
Interested producers should sign-up immediately at the link below to take advantage of a 20% season rebate before May 10th.
October 10th: The annual Sausage festival and Octoberfest! Sample and for free and vote for your favourite market sausage – and have a beer to celebrate the season!
October 17th: Huntingdon arena fundraiser and street hockey – support local hockey! 100% of proceeds from the bar go toward renovations, donations welcome. Come show your support by playing street hockey next to the market in Prince Arthur Parc!
Halloween extravaganza! Try out your costume ahead of the big day – pick out a pumpkin and enjoy a spooky-themed market!
Come celebrate the season with Asparagus Fest at the market this Wednesday – and discover your favourite pairing with free tastings and mini-meals available from our 4 meat producers (think sausage and asparagus with parmesan, or butter, or lemon, or a gourmet sauce made especially for the occasion…)!
